Are you passionate about supporting mothers during one of the most transformative times of their lives? Our Certified Doula Program is designed for individuals who aspire to provide quality, compassionate and professional care to expectant individuals & their families. This comprehensive course covers everything, ensuring you are well-equipped to handle the diverse needs of your clients. This course content was meant specifically to meet the training requirements of the State of California to complete enrollment in the fee-for-service Medi-Cal program in accordance with Welfare & Institutions Code Section 14043.75(b). DHCS (Department of Health Care Services) established specific application and enrollment requirements for Certified Doulas who are 18 years of age and who apply for enrollment in the Medi-Cal program to be reimbursed for the covered services they provide to beneficiaries. This course will take 6 weeks to cover all topics including but not limited to: Lactation support Childbirth Education Foundations on anatomy of pregnancy and childbirth Non-medical comfort measures Prenatal Support Labor Support Techniques Developing a Community Resource List Business Basics You will have 1 year to complete all requirements including attendance at 5 births as the Primary Doula. Aside from fulfilling the training prerequisites mentioned above, you will receive one-to-one feedback, invaluable wisdom, techniques, and insider tips from the Instructor. Randi Payton is a California Medical Board Licensed Midwife & Certified Professional Midwife with over a decade of experience running a busy home birth practice. She has instructed numerous Midwifery and Doula students and contributes to birth professional skill development within the community. The business and personal insights, tips, pre-made forms, techniques, and advice provided in this course are unparalleled, coming from firsthand experience supporting and births in the most natural and intimate settings.
